For more information, please visit www.wealthenhancement.com.\nThe Senior User Interface Designer - Platform Development is the primary owner and subject-matter expert for Wealth Enhancement's Design System. This senior individual contributor defines and maintains the system's standards, component architecture, design tokens, governance, and documentation so it remains consistent, scalable, accessible, developer usable, and understandable by approved AI-assisted tools.\nThe designer also creates polished interfaces for new screens, workflows, and features across enterprise products. The role partners with user experience, product, engineering, architecture, and business teams at defined points in the service delivery process, carries design intent through implementation validation, and enables teams to apply established patterns independently.\nThis is a fully remote position.\nIn the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $120,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. We're big on open conversations, so, let's have one.\nPrimary Job Functions\nDesign System Ownership and Governance\nOwn and evolve the enterprise Design System, including libraries, components, variables, patterns, and documentation\nPrioritize the design-system roadmap using product needs, adoption data, accessibility risks, and implementation gaps\nDefine token architecture, naming, metadata, usage guidance, and front-end alignment\nGovern contributions, releases, deprecation, migration, and adoption, audit for duplication, inconsistency, accessibility, and reuse\nUI Design and Prototyping\nDesign responsive screens, workflows, and complete interface states using approved patterns\nTranslate user, business, and workflow needs into clear, efficient interfaces\nCreate high-fidelity designs and prototypes aligned with approved Design Systems\nImplementation Quality\nPartner across cross-functional teams to translate Design System specifications into implemented experiences\nReview implementation for fidelity, responsive behavior, system use, and accessibility; document material defects in Jira and confirm resolution\nServe as the design authority during validation and user acceptance activities, using recurring gaps to improve the system\nAccessible and Inclusive Design\nApply current accessibility standards and inclusive design practices to components and interfaces\nDocument and validate contrast, hierarchy, focus, keyboard interaction, responsive behavior, and content structure\nAI Ready Design Standards\nStructure components, tokens, metadata, and guidance for reliable use by people and approved AI tools\nDirect AI-assisted work toward approved patterns and reusable components through clear guardrails\nEvaluate AI-assisted outputs for quality, accessibility, brand alignment, and system compliance\nService Delivery and Collaboration\nCollaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences\nEngage at defined Service Delivery Framework checkpoints and provide specifications, assets, acceptance guidance, rationale, and tradeoffs suited to the work's complexity and risk\nManage priorities and documentation in Jira and Confluence; use experience-quality measures to guide improvements and coach partners to apply standards independently\nImprove Service Quality by Using AI and Digital Tools\nUse approved AI and digital tools to simplify work, improve service quality, and increase efficiency, while validating outputs for accuracy, privacy, and business alignment\nIdentify and escalate inaccurate information and knowledge gaps, or issues related to digital tools\nEducation/Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in a design-related field or equivalent professional experience required (as demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education)\nFive or more years of professional UI, UX, product, interaction, or visual design experience, including significant responsibility for building, governing, or evolving a Design System\nPortfolio demonstrates strong visual craft, systems thinking, responsive design, accessible interface solutions, and reusable systems work\nAdvanced proficiency in Figma, including libraries, components, variants, properties, variables, modes, and prototyping\nStrong understanding of design-token architecture, responsive behavior, complete interface states, and accessible interaction patterns\nWorking knowledge of front-end component architecture and the relationship between design standards and coded components - coding is not required\nClear written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex design decisions, tradeoffs, and implementation guidance to technical and nontechnical partners\nAbility to manage priorities independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams\nProficient at using AI and digital tools, creating and maintaining knowledge content, and driving improvements based on data and feedback\nExperience with enterprise software, financial services, or another regulated industry preferred\nExperience designing for platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, Drupal, or comparable enterprise systems preferred\nFamiliarity with coded component libraries, design-to-code workflows, and design-system adoption or health metrics preferred\nExperience using or governing AI-assisted design and development workflows preferred\nProficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or complementary visual design tools preferred\nWEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified at this level is $87, 400.00 to $131,100.00.
