Responsibilities:

  • Design and build the core Node.js services and REST APIs from scratch, built to scale as we grow.
  • Own system design end-to-end: service boundaries, data flow, caching, queueing, failure modes, and scale.
  • Ship AI/ML-powered features, including LLM and agentic capabilities.
  • Use LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC, from design and code generation to testing and debugging.
  • Model data and optimise SQL/NoSQL queries for performance; integrate with third-party platforms.
  • Debug production issues, own reliability, and set the engineering standards the rest of the team will grow into.
