Manager:\nOwn day-to-day execution of luxury custom homes and high-end residential renovations from the field\nSpend approximately 90% of your time on active jobsites, proactively inspecting work and identifying issues before they impact subsequent trades\nManage project schedules, subcontractors, vendors, materials, site logistics, and overall field coordination\nTypically oversee one major custom home alongside one or two smaller or less complex renovation projects\nReview plans and scopes thoroughly so subcontractors understand critical details, expectations, and potential problem areas before work begins\nInspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to plans rather than relying on surface-level jobsite checks\nMaintain consistent communication with clients through calls, texts, emails, meetings, and timely follow-up\nServe as a polished, knowledgeable representative of the company when working with discerning custom-home clients\nComplete accurate same-day daily reports and maintain organized project documentation without exception\nCommunicate project information, field conditions, and potential changes back to the internal estimating team\nCoordinate closely with the in-office Estimator, who manages estimating, change orders, and the primary financial administration of projects\nAnticipate scheduling, material, subcontractor, and constructability issues before they become project delays\nHold subcontractors accountable for workmanship, schedules, cleanliness, and project standards\nUse mobile technology and construction software effectively while remaining actively engaged on the jobsite\nHelp create an exceptional construction experience for clients through responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through\nMust-Haves as the Field Project Manager:\n10+ years of residential construction experience\n5+ years of direct Project Manager, Superintendent, or comparable field leadership experience\nMeaningful custom home construction experience - candidates coming exclusively from production residential or commercial construction will not be the right fit\nProven ability to manage subcontractors, crews, schedules, materials, and multiple phases of residential construction\nStrong understanding of residential construction scopes, sequencing, plans, and quality standards\nExceptional attention to detail and ability to identify problems before the next trade arrives\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with consistent follow-through\nProfessional presence and ability to communicate confidently with high-end homeowners\nStrong computer and technology proficiency, including the ability to maintain accurate project documentation from the field\nDemonstrated discipline around daily reporting, scheduling, documentation, and project organization\nSelf-directed mindset with the ability to make sound decisions without constant oversight\nAbility to work onsite throughout Southwest Michigan and the Harbor Country/Lake Michigan corridor\nNice-to-Haves as the Field Project Manager:\nLuxury residential construction experience\nExperience managing $1M+ custom homes or sophisticated high-end renovations\nExperience working with architects, designers, custom millwork, and specialty trades\nPrevious experience balancing both Superintendent and Project Manager responsibilities\nFamiliarity with the Southwest Michigan, Northwest Indiana, or greater Michiana construction market\nExperience working for a smaller custom builder where collaboration and individual accountability are critical\nThe Company Offers:\nBase salary of $80,000-$100,000\nYear-end bonus opportunity\n10 days of PTO to start, with
