This role can be based in Fort Worth, TX, or performed remotely anywhere in the U.S. and offers a rare opportunity for an experienced engineer to bring a previously outsourced function in-house, work directly with company leadership, and have significant technical autonomy and visibility.\nWhat You'll Do as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:\nAnalyze and design concrete structures supporting industrial and commercial construction projects.\nPerform structural calculations and develop engineering solutions for concrete applications.\nPrepare engineering drawings, construction documents, calculations, and supporting technical documentation.\nTake ownership of structural engineering work currently performed by outside engineering consultants.\nServe as the company's primary internal resource for structural engineering and concrete design questions.\nEvaluate project requirements and recommend practical, constructible engineering solutions.\nCollaborate with estimating and operations teams to incorporate engineering considerations into project planning and execution.\nWork directly with the Chief Estimator, CEO, and technical leadership on project needs.\nApply structural engineering principles with an understanding of how concrete work is actually constructed in the field.\nHelp establish processes and standards for a new internal engineering function.\nProvide technical guidance as the company continues expanding its industrial and commercial concrete portfolio.\nOver time, help shape how the organization approaches engineering and design internally.\nMust-Haves as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:\nActive Professional Engineer (PE) license.\nProfessional structural engineering experience with meaningful exposure to concrete design.\nHands-on experience analyzing and designing reinforced concrete structures and/or concrete systems.\nStrong understanding of concrete design, behavior, and construction.\nExperience personally completing structural calculations and developing construction or engineering documents.\nAbility to independently evaluate project requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions.\nTechnical depth to operate as the primary in-house structural engineering resource.\nStrong judgment and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with construction, estimating, operations, and executive leadership.\nComfortable working independently without the infrastructure of a large engineering department.\nNice-to-Haves as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:\nStructural Engineer (SE) designation.\nExperience with slab-on-grade, concrete flooring, or related slab systems.\nIndustrial warehouse or distribution center project experience.\nSpecialty concrete subcontractor experience.\nBackground designing concrete for large industrial or commercial facilities.\nExperience working directly with contractors, subcontractors, estimators, and construction operations teams.\nPrevious experience serving as an autonomous senior technical resource.\nExperience translating structural design requirements into practical field solutions.\nOffer:\nCompetitive base compensation based on technical experience, licensing, and concrete expertise.\nInitial compensation target of $110,000-$150,000, with meaningful flexibility for highly qualified Structural PEs whose market compensation exceeds that range.\nRemote work from anywhere in the U.S.\nFort Worth/DFW office option for candidates who prefer to work locally.\nRelocation assistance available for candidates interested in moving to Texas.\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance.\nLife insurance.\nPTO starting at two weeks, with additional PTO negotiable for experienced hires.\nPotential 401(k) employer contribution, subject to confirmation of final plan terms.\nDirect access to executive leadership and company ownership.\nSignificant autonomy as the company's primary internal structural engineering resource.\nOpportunity to build an engineering capability rather than inherit an established department.\nHigh visibility within a growing, established organization.\nThe chance to make an immediate impact as the company continues scaling its national project portfolio.\nTrueline is an unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
