The customer is everything.\nIf you're excited about transforming healthcare with purpose-driven work and smart teammates by your side, we'd love to meet you.\nThis position is 100% remote while located in India\n\nReports to: Manager of Engineering\n\nWhat You’ll Own\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go (Golang) microservices.\n\nDrive technical architecture and contribute to long-term system health by anticipating scaling and maintenance needs.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver high-impact features.\n\nParticipate in system design reviews, propose and implement robust solutions, and contribute to Weave’s overall engineering strategy.\n\nOwn the quality, reliability, and observability of your code from development to production.\n\nHelp plan and execute projects from inception to delivery, with a strong sense of ownership and outcome-orientation.\n\nMentor peers and junior engineers by sharing your knowledge and encouraging best practices..\n\nWhat You’ll Need to Accomplish the Job\n5+ years of backend engineering experience with modern programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, Ruby, or C# (Go preferred or willingness to learn).\n\nExperience designing and building ReSTful APIs and backend services.\n\nStrong understanding of distributed systems and inter-service communication (e.g., protobufs/gRPC, ReST, NSQ).\n\nExperience working with relational databases and SQL.\n\nWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation with your team and take responsibility for production systems.\n\nWhat Will Make Us Love You\nYou’ve deployed and maintained services in cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\n\nYou’re comfortable with Docker/Kubernetes, observability tooling (metrics, alerts, tracing), and service reliability.\n\nYou’ve worked with protobufs/gRPC, or Temporal, and have experience breaking monoliths into microservices.\n\nYou’re thoughtful about technical debt and scalability, and you write code with both today and the future in mind.\n\nYou value cross-functional collaboration and can explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nYou lead with curiosity, seek to understand before acting, and strive to elevate the team around you.\n\nEmployment with Weave is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, conducted in accordance with applicable laws.\nAt Weave, we use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to help us work more efficiently and create a smoother candidate experience.
