You’ll lead our N2 team across several departments, with line leads and production team members reporting directly to you.\nReporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll own shift performance across your assigned departments-from safety and food quality to staffing, production results, and team development. This role calls for someone who can balance competing priorities, make sound decisions, and support people through the challenges of a busy manufacturing shift.\nWhat you’ll lead\nPeople and team development\nProvide direction and support to line leads and production team members across multiple departments.\nLead pre-shift meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure each department understands the plan.\nCoach performance, recognize contributions, address concerns, and hold team members accountable fairly and consistently.\nComplete performance reviews, attendance tracking, and disciplinary documentation in partnership with HR.\nSupport onboarding, cross-training, and skill development so team members are prepared to succeed.\nSafety, quality, and food safety\nMaintain a visible floor presence, reinforce safe work practices, and respond promptly to hazards.\nEnsure food safety, sanitation, allergen control, and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.\nVerify line readiness, required checks, and documentation.\nInvestigate incidents and recurring concerns, coordinate corrective actions, and follow through on resolution.\nProduction and continuous improvement\nCoordinate staffing, materials, and daily priorities to meet the production schedule.\nMonitor output, equipment effectiveness, downtime, scrap, and waste; adjust plans as conditions change.\nWork with Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation to resolve issues and keep operations moving safely.\nUse production data and team feedback to identify recurring losses and implement practical improvements.\nEnsure accurate shift reports and clear handoffs, including outstanding concerns and next steps.\nWhat you’ll bring\nA high school diploma or GED.\nAt least two years of leadership experience in manufacturing; food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience is preferred.\nAn understanding of food safety, quality standards, and production performance measures.\nStrong communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.\nThe ability to prioritize across multiple departments while remaining approachable and responsive.\nAbility to read, write, and understand English to communicate expectations, follow procedures, and complete documentation.\nComfort using Microsoft Office, production reporting tools, and manufacturing systems.\nYour leadership matters\nWe’re looking for a leader who listens, removes barriers, follows through, and helps people improve. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to a full shift); frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally climb stairs, ladders, or platforms and work at elevated heights. Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, wet and slippery surfaces, temperature variation (ambient, refrigerated, and elevated-heat areas), and elevated noise levels.\nRequired personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety footwear, hairnets/beard nets, and other GMP-required PPE) must be worn at all times on the floor.
