This role owns shift-level execution and the development of the team on that shift making the real-time decisions that keep the line running to the standards set above it and modeling the Weaver Culture in all actions and interactions.\nLiving the Weaver Values: expected to lead as someone who is Committed, Trustworthy, Purpose Driven, of a Positive Mindset, and Growth Oriented advancing our mission to grow our People, Popcorn, and Prosperity.\nEssential Functions\nSafety & Sanitation\nEnforce safety protocols and SOPs across all shift operations; goal is zero OSHA recordables.\nIdentify safety issues, determine root cause, and implement long-term resolutions.\nEnsure cleanliness and organization of the production floor throughout and at shift end.\nEscalate unresolved safety concerns to the Department Manager and Director of EH&S.\nQuality & Food Safety\nEmpower team members to own food safety and product integrity; ensure GMPs, allergen control, and sanitation standards are met and enforced.\nVerify sanitation completion, non-conforming material procedures, and startup verifications.\nManage quality incidents in Safety Chain and launch root-cause analysis; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.\nConduct line checks and confirm documentation and physical compliance; support monthly quality training and close QPI audit opportunities.\nProduction & Efficiency\nManage line efficiency through proactive planning of materials and staffing.\nMonitor OEE, line output, scrap, waste, and performance trends; adjust operations in real time to downtime, material, or demand changes.\nEnsure Line Leads document downtime clearly (LEDS and End-of-Shift Reports); escalate downtime, quality, or safety issues.\nEnsure demand prioritization and production-schedule adherence.\nTalent Development & Team Management\nSupervise and coordinate daily activities of team members and line leaders; provide coaching, recognition, and feedback.\nConduct and document performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and attendance-point tracking.\nLead daily pre-shift meetings; encourage growth through cross-training and skill development; lead alignment with the Weaver Culture.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nCommunicate effectively with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams.\nSupport WME initiatives and participate in Continuous Improvement workstreams or pillars.\nSystems & Reporting\nProficient in AS400 (schedules, negative-inventory reports, BOMs, scrap reporting, inventory reconciliation).\nProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, LEDS, Safety Chain, and Windows OS.\nComplete thorough downtime shift reports with solutions and responsible parties clearly stated.\nContinuous Improvement\nActively engaged in WME and AMD activities; ensure and coach basic problem-solving when triggered.\nUnderstand losses across the cells (scrap, downtime, waste); review skill matrix, training, and validations through CSD.\nSuccess Metrics\nShift safety (recordables/near-miss reporting), food-safety and quality compliance, OEE and output, scrap/waste, schedule adherence, and team member development for the shift.\nLeadership Competencies\nReal-time decision-making and problem-solving\nCoaching and developing front-line team members\nSafety and food-safety leadership on the floor\nCommunication and conflict resolution\nOwnership of shift KPIs\nServant leadership\nRequirements\nQualifications\nMinimum\nMust be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or CPG.\nStrong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and production KPIs.\nEffective communicator with solid decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.\nPreferred\nAssociate or technical degree.\nDemonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead a team while driving change.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nThis role performs essential functions on an active food-production floor. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to a full shift); frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally climb stairs, ladders, or platforms and work at elevated heights. Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, wet and slippery surfaces, temperature variation (ambient, refrigerated, and elevated-heat areas), and elevated noise levels.\nRequired personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety footwear, hairnets/beard nets, and other GMP-required PPE) must be worn at all times on the floor.
