We are a community of engineers and senior advisors who work with our clients across industries, playing a deep and meaningful role in accelerating and realizing their vision and strategy.\nAbout the position\nWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale data transformation project for one of the world’s leading insurance companies.\nThe project focuses onbuilding a Central Data Platform that integrates data from multiple sources and enables advanced analytics, reporting, and deeper business insights.\nYou will join an international project involving more than 80 specialists across multiple engineering, data, analytics, and business teams. You will contribute to scalable data architecture, reliable pipelines, and high-quality data models.\nThe technology stack includes Databricks, dbt, dltHub, Power BI, GitHub, and Terraform, with the entire platform hosted in Microsoft Azure.\nKey responsibilities:\nDesign and develop the architecture of a large-scale Central Data Platform.\n\nBuild and maintain end-to-end data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.\n\nIntegrate data from multiple systems into a consistent data platform.\n\nDesign scalable data models aligned with business and analytical requirements.\n\nDevelop and optimize ETL and ELT processes using Databricks, Python, PySpark, and dbt.\n\nPrepare reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.\n\nEnsure data quality, consistency, lineage, security, and performance.\n\nDevelop reusable data components and standardize data workflows.\n\nSupport automated deployment and infrastructure processes using GitHub and Terraform.\n\nCollaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, Power BI developers, and business stakeholders.\n\nTranslate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.\n\nContinuously improve the reliability, automation, and maintainability of the platform.\n\nRequired Experience & Skills\nProven senior-level experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or a similar role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Databricks.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of Python and practical experience with PySpark.\n\nStrong experience designing and optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines.\n\nVery good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.\n\nExperience in data architecture, data modelling, and scalable data platform design.\n\nPractical experience with dbt.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based data platforms.\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitHub.\n\nUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure, orchestration, deployment, and data security.\n\nAbility to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.\n\nExperience working in large, distributed, or multi-team environments.\n\nFluent English and strong communication skills.\n\nProactive attitude, ownership, and a DevOps mindset.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with Oracle databases.\n\nExperience with dltHub.\n\nExperience with Azure Data Services.\n\nExperience supporting Power BI reporting environments.\n\nKnowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.\n\nExperience building enterprise-level data platforms or data lakes.\n\nExperience in the insurance or financial services industry.\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.\n\nWhat we offer\nContract under Polish law: B2B or Umowa o Pracę\n\nBenefits such as private medical care, group insurance, Multisport card\n\nThere are English classes available\n\nHybrid work (at least 1 day per 2-3 months on-site) in Warsaw (Mokotów)\n\nOpportunity to work with excellent professionals\n\nHigh standards of work and focus on the quality of code\n\nNew technologies in use\n\nContinuously learning and growth\n\nInternational team\n\nPinball, PlayStation & much more (on-site)\n\nJoin a growing team of dedicated professionals!
