The main mission of the internship will be to help revive and improve an existing application while following our internal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards and best practices.\nThe intern will work with both JavaScript and Java, contributing to frontend and backend development. At the same time, this role has an important learning and feedback aspect: by working on a real, living system, you will help us verify whether our development procedures, documentation, and guidelines are clear, usable, and effective in practice.\nThis role is ideal for a young, motivated fullstack developer who wants to learn how software should be built “by the book” - where processes are meant to guide and support engineers, not require expert-level project management skills to understand.\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to frontend and backend development using JavaScript and Java\n\nHelp restore, improve, and extend the existing application\n\nFollow internal SDLC guidelines, development procedures, and documentation\n\nProvide feedback on the clarity and usability of development processes and documentation\n\nCollaborate with senior engineers to understand best practices and architectural decisions\n\nAssist in debugging, fixing issues, and improving code quality\n\nParticipate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions\n\nHelp identify gaps or unclear areas in development procedures and suggest improvements\n\nRequirements:\nBeing enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field\n\nGood English communication skills (B2+), Polish language is a plus\n\nBasic knowledge of JavaScript (frontend or backend)\n\nBasic knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming\n\nBasic understanding of web application architecture (frontend, backend, APIs)\n\nFamiliarity with Git and version control systems\n\nBasic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts\n\nWillingness to follow defined processes, guidelines, and documentation\n\nAnalytical mindset and attention to detail\n\nCuriosity and willingness to ask questions and learn\n\nIndependence and drive to grow as a software engineer\n\nAny academic, personal, or internship experience with fullstack development is considered an asset\n\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus\n\n*As an intern, you’re not expected to be an expert.
