About the position
We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Engineer to join a long-term project in the insurance domain. The project brings together three interconnected applications into a unified ecosystem supporting claims handling, valuation management, and comparison of repair estimates with counter-offers.
The role combines backend and frontend development in a highly integrated environment, where multiple systems communicate through APIs. You will work across Java-based backend services, Vue.js frontend applications, PostgreSQL databases, and Python-based components supporting automation, integrations, and document-processing-related workflows.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and PostgreSQL.
Work with Python as part of the project's backend and integration landscape.
Develop and maintain frontend applications using JavaScript and Vue.js.
Integrate multiple systems through REST APIs in a complex, interconnected environment.
Create and maintain end-to-end tests using Cypress.
Support modernization of existing applications, including Java version upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
Apply secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Experience & Skills
Must have:
Commercial experience with Java 8 backend development.
Commercial experience with Python development.
Commercial experience with JavaScript development.
Experience with Vue.js.
Experience working with PostgreSQL.
Experience integrating systems via REST APIs in a complex, interconnected environment.
Knowledge of Apigee.
Experience creating and maintaining end-to-end tests using Cypress.
Understanding of application security principles, including OWASP Top 10 and secure coding best practices.
Nice to have:
Experience upgrading applications to newer Java versions.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with AI-based OCR and document processing.
Experience working in insurance, banking, or another regulated domain.
