You'll own how EPD plans, tracks, launches, and reports on its work, and you'll make that system faster every quarter, increasingly with AI agents doing the repetitive parts. You'll report to the Chief Product Officer, sit on EPD Leadership, and lead a small, high-leverage team of program managers, technical program managers, and agentic engineers.\nThis role is for an operator who builds. You care about rituals and rigor, but you measure success by one thing: whether EPD ships more customer value, faster and more reliably.\nAbout the role\nLocation: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada)\n\nFull-time\n\nExempt\n\nReporting to the Chief Product Officer\n\nFor this role, candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for Webflow's sponsorship for an immigration-related employment benefit (i.e., a work visa, work permit, etc.)\n\nThe cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. Own the leadership and org-wide rituals that keep a multi-pillar EPD org aligned: weekly EPD Leadership, pillar lead reviews, quarterly all-hands, offsites, and protected builder time. Cut what doesn't earn its time; make what stays drive decisions.\n\nOwn planning, OKRs, and roadmap health. Run quarterly planning with pillar leads, manage the OKR program and its owners, and keep the roadmap current and trustworthy. Surface at-risk work early and route it to the right leader for a decision within a week.\n\nTell EPD's story to leadership and the board. Produce accurate, on-time reporting for exec staff, board meetings, and QBRs, sourced from live roadmap and OKR data rather than one-off reconciliation.\n\nOwn launch readiness and release governance. Run OK2GA and production-readiness reviews, coordinate high-profile launch moments (like Webflow Conf), and partner with Engineering and Support on post-incident follow-through so reliability work gets prioritized, not lost.\n\nRun alpha and beta programs. Give product teams a predictable path from build-complete to customers' hands, with clear feedback loops, in partnership with Product, Research, and GTM.\n\nImprove the product development lifecycle. Own PDLC standards (PRDs, stage gates, product-led releases), templatize or automate the repeatable steps, and make the process lighter for PMs, EMs, and designers.\n\nLead EPD's internal AI and tooling roadmap. Direct a team of agentic engineers building agents and automations for EPD: triage intake and routing, status updates, beta recruitment, roadmap views, and a shared skills library. Own EPD tooling (e.g., Linear) and partner with IT and Finance on spend and adoption.\n\nBe the bridge to Finance and GTM. Partner with Finance and Accounting on headcount plans and capitalized software reporting, and with Marketing, Sales, and Support on launch plans and the flow of customer feedback into EPD.\n\nBuild and lead the team. Hire, coach, and grow a team of program managers, TPMs, and agentic engineers across US and LATAM time zones. Set clear priorities and give them room to own outcomes.\n\nIn addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role.\nAbout you\nYou'll thrive as Director, EPD Operations if you have:\n10+ years in technical program management, engineering or product operations, or chief-of-staff roles at a software company, with at least 4 years leading teams.\n\nA track record of running planning, OKRs, and operating cadence for an EPD org of several hundred people, and of making that system simpler over time.\n\nExperience owning launch readiness or release governance for a SaaS product, including coordinating major launches with GTM.\n\nStrong executive presence. You can run a room of VPs, synthesize a messy debate into a decision, and write a board-ready update.\n\nHands-on AI fluency. You use AI tools and agents in your own daily work, and you've led or sponsored automation that removed real operational toil and got adopted.\n\nFluency with engineering and product tooling (Linear, Jira, Confluence, Slack, data/BI tools), and the judgment to change tools only when it pays off.\n\nComfort with ambiguity and frequent change.
