This role is well suited for someone early in their medical communications career who is eager to build strong editorial and scientific skills while working on a variety of medical education projects.\nThe Scientific Editor will assist with scientific editing, proofreading, formatting, and quality checks across multiple deliverables. They will work closely with medical, editorial, and project teams to help ensure content is accurate, clear, and aligned with project requirements and timelines.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Control & Scientific Review\nReview scientific materials such as agendas, outlines, slide decks, transcripts, web content, and review materials.\n\nCheck for scientific accuracy, consistency, and appropriate tone and style.\n\nEnsure comments from clients and faculty are addressed correctly.\n\nSupport Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) submission processes.\n\nFact Checking & References\nFact-check content using primary literature and reliable scientific sources.\n\nReview and format references and citations.\n\nHelp prepare annotated files and reference documents for internal use and submissions.\n\nEditorial & Operational Support\nAssist with tracking edits and comments across multiple review rounds.\n\nComplete intake forms, templates, and project documentation accurately.\n\nSupport consistent editorial processes across projects.\n\nCollaboration\nWork closely with Medical Science Directors, medical writers, copy editors, creative teams, and project managers.\n\nParticipate in team meetings and review discussions.\n\nCommunicate clearly when questions or issues arise with content.\n\nQualifications & Skills\nBachelor’s degree (or higher) in a life sciences or healthcare-related field.\n\nSome experience or interest in medical communications or scientific editing preferred.\n\nStrong attention to detail and interest in scientific accuracy.\n\nBasic ability to read and understand clinical or scientific data.\n\nGood organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.\n\nFamiliarity with literature searches and reference formatting.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in shared, cloud-based systems.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nThis role offers hands-on experience in medical education and scientific communications, with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
