We are headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, with a remote QA/testing team in Panama City, Panama, and a remote office in Bogotá, Colombia, and serve clients around the globe.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an experienced mid-to-senior Functional QA Testerto help ensure our applications meet business requirements, deliver a reliable user experience, and maintain high quality standards. This role focuses on manual and exploratory testing, test planning, API testing, and collaboration with developers and project stakeholders. You should be comfortable taking ownership of QA activities, making informed testing decisions, and managing your work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.\nTest automation experience is an advantage, but it is not required.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, clarify expected behavior, and define test coverage.\nCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, checklists, and test data.\nExecute functional, exploratory, smoke, regression, integration, and API testing.\nValidate user workflows, edge cases, error handling, and compatibility across browsers and devices.\nDocument defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and supporting evidence.\nInvestigate issues using available tools, logs, and network information to help developers identify their causes.\nCollaborate with developers, project leads, and stakeholders to clarify issues, verify fixes, and assess release readiness.\nPrioritize testing based on business impact, product risk, and delivery timelines.\nCommunicate testing progress, blockers, coverage gaps, and unresolved risks clearly and promptly.\nManage QA responsibilities across multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting agreed deadlines.\nRecommend practical improvements to testing processes, documentation, and product usability.\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least three years of professional QA experience, with a strong focus on manual and functional testing.\nAdvanced or fluent English (C1 or higher), with the ability to participate confidently in meetings and communicate clearly with international clients and teammates.\nMust be based in Panama and eligible for full-time employment in Panama.\nDemonstrated experience testing web applications, including complex workflows and business rules. Mobile or desktop testing experience is an advantage.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle.\nExperience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools, including validating responses, status codes, authentication, and error handling.\nAbility to use browser developer tools to inspect network requests, console errors, and application behavior.\nExperience using issue-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, Linear, TestRail, TestLink, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience working in Agile teams and collaborating throughout the development process.\nA track record of independently managing testing activities and following issues through to resolution.\nExperience with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools such as BrowserStack.\nBasic programming or scripting knowledge.\nProfessional and Collaboration Skills\nOrganize and complete work with minimal day-to-day supervision.\nRaise questions, blockers, and quality risks early, with clear context and practical recommendations.\nIdentify subtle issues while keeping business priorities and the overall user experience in view.\nBalance competing priorities, provide realistic estimates, and communicate changes that may affect delivery.\nMaintain reliable communication, follow through on commitments, and keep progress visible to the
