While you may have natural specialties, we expect full-stack capability accelerated by AI - no dedicated frontend, backend, or DevOps silos.\nAt least 25% of your time is expected to be dedicated to hiring, talent management, and training your team members.\nWhat You’llDo\nLead Value Creation Projects (3-6 months): Drive deployment and integration of solutions for specific business units, solving materially hard problems like re-platforming or creating innovative features\n\nLead Applications Projects (Long-term): Architect and maintain Volaris-focused applications that drive sustained value, providing ongoing support, roadmaps, and feature development\n\nManage and develop up to 6 team members across various projects and assignments\n\nDesign and build complex custom components, APIs, and data pipelines to fit client needs\n\nDebug and optimizecomplex systems across cloud and on-prem infrastructures\n\nWork directly with business unit technical teams to design scalable solutions\n\nConduct hiring interviews and participatein talent acquisition\n\nProvide career coaching, performance feedback, and professional development for team members\n\nServe as the bridge between our product team and end users, influencing the roadmap through field experience\n\nLead technical discussions and architectural decisions across multiple projects\n\nOccasionally travel to customer sites (as needed) for deployment or design sessions\n\nWhat You Bring\nRequired:\n- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering (Python, TypeScript, Java, .NET, or similar)\n- 2+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams\n- Strong experience working with APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems\n- Full-stack mindset: Proven ability to work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with AI assistance\n- AI tool proficiency: Experience with AI-assisted development tools and practices\n- Proven track recordof mentoring and developing junior and senior engineers\n- Experience with hiring, performance management, and career development\n- Comfort working directly with customer engineering or operations teams\n- Strong leadership skills with ability to lead by example\n- Excellent communication and influence skills\n- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-impact environments\nNice to Have:\n- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)\n- Prior work in AI, analytics, or enterprise SaaS deployments\n- Familiarity with customer success / implementation roles\n- Experience managing matrix organization or cross-functional teams\nWhy You’llLove It\nYou’llget to work on meaningful, high-impact projects where your code directly powers real customer outcomes - not theoretical demos.
