This role involves mentoring junior and intermediate developers, making critical technical decisions, and driving the technical direction of projects.\nProduct Line:\nThis role will be working on the Race Roster product.\nWork Location:\nThe successful candidate for this role can be eithera remote employee (working 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada), a hybrid employee (flexibility to work in the office or from home at a location within 75 km from the London, ON office), or an in-office employee at our London, ON office.\nResponsibilities:\nTechnical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.\nArchitecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.\nCode Development: Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable frontend and backend code, setting an example for other developers.\nMentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior and intermediate developers, fostering their professional growth.\nCode Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and consistency.\nProblem Solving: Solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.\nTechnology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve the development process.\nCollaboration: Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to define and deliver on project goals.\nContinuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the development process and product quality.\nDevOps: Advocate for and implement DevOps practices to streamline development, testing, and deployment.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \n5+ years of experience in software development. \nExpertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.\nDeep understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.\nExtensive experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\nStrong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.\nProven ability to lead and deliver complex projects.\nBonus Education & Experience:\nRelevant industry experience\nThe successful candidate for this role will become an employee of Race Roster North America Corporation (doing business as ASICS Apps Canada), a subsidiary of ASICS Corporation, a Japanese multinational corporation.
