The primary function of this role would be to design, implement, and review cloud-native features for this geospatial platform across multiple deployments in different environments, to achieve business objectives of scalability, security and reliability.\nObjectives and Responsibilities\nUnderstand business requirements and translate them to fit-for-purpose solutions\nReview existing cloud systems and solutions to identify areas for improvement\nSet up and configure repositories for multiple systems\nMigrate existing systems to other environments\nEstablish DevOps pipelines including testing, scanning, and CICD\nProvision and manage AWS cloud resources to support application deployment and scaling\nImplement IaC using Terraform for consistent and reproducible deployments\nIntegrate backend systems and APIs with frontend application\nIntegrate applications with external authentication systems with secure authentication flows\nImplement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle\nDesign interfaces with external systems\nDevelop and review application code\nImplement solutions for observability, monitoring, and fault-tolerance\nEnsure applications comply with government security policies and standards\nDocument architecture and design decisions\nRequired Skills and Experience\nHands-on experience with AWS cloud services\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform\nKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline setup, preferably GitLab\nProficiency in Python, Typescript, React\nExperience with software engineering and system design\nExperience with implementing best practices for system security\nExperience in observability technologies\nExperience with developing and understanding architecture diagrams\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment\nGood communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction\nAdaptability to work with evolving requirements and technologies\nExperience designing or contributing to identity systems\nBachelor's degree in computer
