This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role \nThe purpose of the Contract Administrator role is to provide contractual management and administration of Project contracts to ensure risks are minimised and best for FGJV outcomes are achieved.\n\nQualifications\nRelevant tertiary qualification (Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law etc) or equivalent relevant experience\nWhite Card (can be obtained on starting)\nExperience\nComprehensive knowledge of the commercial management and governance requirements of major infrastructure projects\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in contracts administration of rail and civil infrastructure projects or other relevant commercial management experience\n\nRequired Competencies\nWell-developed knowledge of the principles and practices of contract and commercial/finance management\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and high attention to detail\nAbility to plan and organise workload appropriately, combined with a willingness to undertake routine task\nSound interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships\nAbility to understand and articulate contractual rights and positions\nStrong verbal and written communication ability \nProven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful, proactive and professional in manner with a high degree of self-motivation\nExcellent oral and written communications skills\nAttention to detail\n\nCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nWhere relevant:Manage the preparation and submission of interim progress claims and final accounts, ensuring timely payment\nManage subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims and final accounts in accordance with the terms of subcontracts\n\nManage contractual claims and final accounts, ensuring timely payment\nManage contractual issues associated with client / subcontractors/suppliers and provide advice to delivery and management teams on contractual issues\nUpdate contract registers to ensure current status is communicated\nAssist the Contract Manager in the preparation of monthly reports\nManage the compilation and collation of cost related information and reportsAnalyse financial and costs reports, identifying existing or potential variances/trends, providing recommendations as appropriate for agreement with the Department\n\nOversee the target cost estimate process for the project confirming that the team procedures are adhered to, and that the value for money is being achieved.\nThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.\n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
