This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role\nThe PMO Director is a key FGJV senior leadership role responsible for governing performance, ensuring project predictability, and maintaining commercial integrity. This role underpins executive visibility and early intervention across a large, complex mega-project.\nThe PMO Director holds executive accountability for the overall performance, integration, and governance of cost, schedule, risk, change management, and reporting across the FGJV program. This role provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure predictable delivery, transparent performance management, and rigorous commercial governance across a complex, highly structured mega-project. The Director cross-coordinate a number of key functions-Planning, Cost Control, Reporting, Risk, and Change Control-ensuring alignment with JV governance, Snowy Hydro Limited (SHL) requirements, and international best practice standards. The role is a key advisor to the Project Director, Construction Directors, and Executive Steering Committees.\n\nQualifications\n\nTertiary qualifications in Project Management, or a related field\nProfessional certifications (AACE, PMI, ICE, etc.) - desirable\nGeneral Construction Induction Card (White Card) - mandatory\nC Class Drivers Licence - mandatory\n\nExperience\n\nSenior leadership experience in Project Management/Project Controls/Commercial on major infrastructure megaprojects\nExpert knowledge of cost, schedule, EVM, risk, and change management\nProven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and embed governance frameworks\nStrong commercial awareness in JV or EPC environments\nAdvanced communication and executive reporting skills\nExperience in JV environments - desirable\nKnowledge of digital tools and data automation - desirable\n\nRequired Competencies\nStrategic thinker with strong executive presence\nHighly analytical and decisive\nExceptional communication and negotiation skills\nCollaborative leadership style\nStrong governance and integrity focus\nResilient and calm under pressure\nAble to convert complex data into actionable insights\nKey Deliverables\nProject Controls strategy, governance framework, and annual plans\nCost and schedule baselines\nExecutive dashboards and reporting packs\nEVM and variance analysis reports\nIntegrated risk analysis (P50/P80)\nScenario planning and recovery plans\nChange control governance and reporting\nLong-term cost and schedule forecasts\nAudit-ready Project Controls processes\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\nStrategic Leadership & Governance\nProvide strategic leadership for the integrated Project Coordination function, setting vision, priorities, frameworks, and performance expectations\nEstablish and maintain a unified PCO governance framework across planning, cost, risk, change, and reporting\nEnsure alignment with contractual obligations, JV governance, and SHL reporting requirements\nServe as the executive authority on baselines, forecasting standards, and performance narratives\nCost, Schedule & Performance Management\nAdvise on project budgets, baselines, and long-range forecasts\nEnsure robust earned value management (EVM) and performance analysis\nLead performance reviews highlighting risks, trends, and critical schedule drivers\nMaintain oversight of cost-to-complete, productivity trends, and contingency health\nReporting & Executive Communication\nDeliver clear, concise, insight-driven reporting to FGJV leadership and SHL\nOversee production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance packs\nEnsure accuracy and narrative consistency across all executive communications\nRisk, Scenario Analysis & Strategic Decision Support\nLead integrated cost and schedule risk analysis\nProvide executive-level scenario planning and recovery strategies\nEnsure risks and early warning indicators are embedded into forecasts\nChange Control & Commercial Integration\nProvide executive oversight of change control processes\nEnsure all changes are fully assessed and incorporated into baselines\nOversee alignment between cost, schedule, procurement, and contract management\nTeam Leadership & Capability Development\nLead, mentor, and develop the PCO team\nDrive continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives\nPromote standardisation and high governance standards across all functions\nThe above listed authorities and responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.\n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
