This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role: \nThe Project Engineer for Power Station Complex FRP Works is responsible for all onsite technical matters, including construction verification works, and the scheduling, monitoring, planning, forecasting, resourcing and managing all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.\nThis position is also responsible for assisting the Construction department to coordinate the effective operation of a multi-discipline workforce, combining direct workforce, supplementary labour and external subcontractors. Coordinate and ensure compliance of all relevant design, safety, quality, community, environmental and sustainability related deliverables and documentation.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia.\nWhite Card\nDriver’s License\nExperience:\nMinimum 5-years’ experience working in the Civil Construction industry on large scale construction projects delivering Structural Concrete (Form, Reo, Pour) scope - mandatory.\nDemonstrated experience successfully delivering large work packages with Tier 1 construction contractors.\nPrevious experience in large scale FRP packages is mandatory.\nPrevious experience interfacing with complex Electro-Mechanical works or other trades is preferred\nExperience in pumping and placing high-performance concrete mixes including via long-lines and placing booms is preferred.\nPrevious experience with the verification of subcontractors' claims and variations.\n\nRequired Competencies: \nProven working experience as a Project Engineer with a T1 delivery large-scale civil infrastructure.\nAbility to interpret and explain technical schedules and documentation.\nSound contract comprehension.\nDemonstrated experience planning and reporting against cost and time.\nStrong knowledge and understanding of program management, deadlines and budget controls\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment and deliver on deadlines.\nStrong safety focus and commitment to environmental zero-harm.\nFamiliarity with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and WHS Legislation\nAbility to work with multiple discipline projects.\nEffective decision making ability and leadership skills.\nHighly effective time management and organization skills\nAdvanced commercial acumen, including cost reduction and meeting budgets.\nEffective management of work programmes and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.\nAdvanced MS Office skills\n\nCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities:\nDevelop construction methodologies, programme and SWMS for given packages.\nLead the delivery of subcontract works packages for the structural fitout of the Power Station Complex (FRP works), while coordinating with the wider project team, including Electro-Mechanical .\nOversee the development and implementation of construction methods onsite in consultation with the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Superintendent.\nDaily, weekly, and monthly productivity and cost monitoring and reporting.\nProcurement of permanent materials / subcontracts.\nEnsure Site Engineers and subordinates are clear on their responsibilities, providing regular feedback to them to ensure effective performance and develop team members for succession planning purposes.\nManage the short / medium construction planning for the works including development of 6WLAH.\nManage subcontractors, suppliers, and key project personnel and ensure buy in to safety and quality strategies.\nDevelop QAQC Lot Maps.\nCoordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that the project is safely delivered in accordance with time, budget, and quality requirements.\nPrepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.\nMonitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.\nInteract daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.\nCooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide technical support.\nReview engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.\nPrepare and coordinate personnel, equipment and materials to ensure effective mobilisation to the site.\nUndertake the preparation of variations including taking off quantities and pricing.\nCoordinate and ensure compliance with all design, safety, quality, community and environmental related deliverables and documentation.\nProduce related studies and / or documentation and method statements as required.\nMonitor, document and report, physical progress against schedule and any delays / interference which may have affected progress.\nEnsure all systems procedures, statutory requirements, engineering standards and sound construction practices are consistently complied with.\nEnsure all day works, variations and other claims and accurately recorded and reported and liaise with contract administration to ensure all financial entitlements of the company are protected.\nActively pursue any gaps in engineering information \n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
