The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities within their allocated work scope.
Successful performance in this role is critical to the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of the works according to the EPC contract, employer requirements, Project specifications, environmental regulations and stakeholder expectations.
This will be achieved through leading a team of engineers and construction personnel to ensure the construction teams have the necessary information and support to achieve our common goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all construction activities within the assigned work scope, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and timeline standards.
- Collaborate with Construction Directors, engineers, designers, suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate complex construction schedules, resources, and activities related to the work scope.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide dedicated leadership and guidance to construction teams, fostering a culture of safety and excellence in delivery.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes, ensuring construction meets the specific requirements of the EPC contract, employer requirements, Project specifications, relevant standards, approved methodologies and IFC designs.
- Facilitate effective, timely communication between project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, address, and resolve construction-related conflicts or issues that may arise during Project execution.
- Assist in monitoring construction budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and waste reduction.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with temporary and permanent construction activities, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in construction operations
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on construction activities tailored to the target audience.
- Lead the development and delivery of weekly, six-week look-ahead, and three-month look-ahead plans, with clearly defined milestones and measurable targets.

- Safe delivery of all construction works within the assigned scope, with zero tolerance for serious safety incidents.
- Delivery of construction works in accordance with contract requirements, approved programmes, and agreed milestones.
- Effective leadership and performance of construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and superintendents, ensuring capability, accountability, and engagement.
- Compliance with all statutory, contractual, quality, environmental, and industrial relations obligations applicable to the work scope.
- Management of construction risks and opportunities, including temporary and permanent works interfaces, to protect project outcomes.
- Accurate forecasting, reporting, and control of construction costs, productivity, and resources.
- Maintenance of effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
