This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role: \nLead the contractual management and administration of Project contracts to ensure risks are minimised and best for FGJV outcomes are achieved.\n\nQualifications:\nRelevant tertiary qualification (Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law etc) or equivalent relevant experience\nWhite Card\nExperience:\nComprehensive experience and knowledge of the commercial management and governance requirements of major infrastructure projects\nMinimum 10 years of experience in Contracts Administration working for a major international tier 1 construction contractor\n\nRequired Competencies: \nWell-developed knowledge of the principles and practices of contract and commercial/finance management\nThorough understanding of the Project Deed requirements\nThorough understanding of Subcontractor contracts\nA sound understanding of contracts and contract law\nSolid technical writing and communication skills\nStrong data management, analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills\nStrong understanding of construction regulations and law\nAbility to understand and articulate contractual rights and positions\nSound negotiation and problem-solving skills\nStrong Initiative and proactive nature\nKey collaborative skills\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\nWell-developed time management skills\nHigh attention to detail\nExceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint\n\nCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities:\nWhere relevant:Manage the preparation and submission of interim progress claims and final accounts, ensuring timely payment\nAssist in the quantification of Head Contract Scope changes and all subsequent negotiations with the client\nManage subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims and final accounts in accordance with the terms of subcontracts\nUndertake the procurement and negotiation of various civil, engineering, supply and construction contractsManagement of the processes for extensions of time, variations and claims for additional payments\n\nPrepare Subcontract Agreements and negotiate terms and conditions with Subcontractors as required\nNegotiate contract terms and conditions with customers/subcontractors as authorised by senior management in liaison with project management, as per policies, procedures and guidelines\n\nEnsure project managers and all relevant project staff understand and comply with commercial requirements in contracts with customers and major/high risk subcontracts as per policies, procedures, and guidelines\nWorking collaboratively with all stakeholders, providing support on relevant contract administration matters\nEnsuring contractual documents are adequately prepared, reviewed and approved prior to their issue for use\nEnsuring compliance with policies, guidelines, and standards regarding Document Control\nNegotiation and administration of contractual matters\nForecasting and commercial reporting.\nApply the commercial and contractual requirements of the Security of Payments Act\nManage any disputes or major claims with subcontractor or the Client\nEnsure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained\nManage contractual claims and final accounts, ensuring timely payment\nManage contractual issues associated with client / subcontractors/suppliers and provide advice to delivery and management teams on contractual issues\nAssist the Contract Manager in the preparation of monthly reports\nManage the compilation and collation of cost related information and reportsAnalyse financial and costs reports, identifying existing or potential variances/trends, providing recommendations as appropriate for agreement with the Department\n\nOversee the target cost estimate process for the project confirming that the rail team procedures are adhered to, and that the value for money is being achieved.\nThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.\n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
