This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role\nThe HSE Investigations Coordinator is responsible for conducting and leading high-level investigations based on actual or potential risk, collecting evidence, and providing recommendations related to continuous improvement.The role also guides and supports Project and site teams to strengthen investigation capability and ensure consistent application of processes.\n\nQualifications\nWhite Card\nCertificate IV in Safety\nICAM Lead Investigator Certificate or Other Root Cause Analysis Method\nExperience\nProven experience as a HSE Investigations Coordinator or similar role, preferably in the construction industry\nKnowledge of construction regulations and standards\n\nRequired Competencies\nSound negotiation and problem-solving skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a wide range of stakeholders\nAttention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision\nProficient in using investigation tools and software\nStrong initiative and proactive nature\nKey collaborative skills\nWell-developed time management skills\nExceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint\n\nCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nSupport and conduct complex enquiries and investigations, including complaints, and/or support site to undertake these activities.\nParticipate in the continuous improvement of investigation practices and procedures, including through quality assurance activities and procedural development.\nConduct thorough and objective investigations in line with Project Incident and Investigation processes across all Project locations as required.\nEnsure that technical issues are identified, and appropriate specialist input is obtained for specific aspects of enquiries and investigations.\nPrepare enquiry and comprehensive investigation reports including detailed findings and recommended regulatory responses.\nCollect and analyse data, including plans, permits, and inspection reports, to identify potential areas of non-compliance or discrepancies.\nInterview Project stakeholders, such as contractors, engineers, line managers, and involved persons, to gather information and additional evidence.\nDocument and maintain accurate records of investigations, including photographs, videos, and written reports.\nCollaborate with internal teams, such as legal and risk management, to assess the impact and potential risks associated with the findings.\nMake recommendations for corrective actions or improvements to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.\nPrepare and present findings and reports with recommendations to senior management.\nWhen investigations are not required, provide assistance to the wider HSE team on day-to-day safety-related activities.\nAssist in coaching site HSE Teams on basic aspects of FGJV’s investigation processes.\nWhere indicated, ensure requirements of Legal Professional Privilege are applied and maintained throughout the investigation and report preparation activities.\nPrepare Incident Debrief and Findings Sessions as required for Senior Leadership.\nThe above listed authorities and responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.\n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
