This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.\n\nPurpose of the Role: \nResponsible for the management and implementation of a section of works on a construction project to ensure time, cost, quality, safety and contractual targets are achieved. Responsible to develop and implement procedures to achieve quality, safety, timely production and compliance with budgets.\n\nQualifications:\nTertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar discipline \nWhite Card\nC Class Driver’s License\nExperience:\nMinimum 3 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role\nExperience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works\nPrevious TBM Experience\n\nRequired Competencies: \nDemonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude.\nDemonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills\nSelf motivated.\nAbility to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results\nSound interpersonal skills\nAbility to work collaboratively\nAbility to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure\nGood organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail\nThe ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \n\nCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities:\nEnsure QA is being implemented at their work site, assist Site Engineer with their understanding and implementation of QA with the supervisor.\nDevelop construction documentation for work area (CAP, WPA, CMS).\nDevelop/ carry out safety risk assessments with the site team.\nDevelop ITPs\nCoordinate the design with the technical team for site team use.\nDevelop project program (Initial + 6WLA).\nAssist with administering the conditions of subcontracts on site.\nAssist with the review of subcontractor claims in their work area.\nAssist with development SOWs with supervisors/ superintendent\nProvide technical review of subcontract packages for the procurement team.\nAssist with the remedial action and close out of NCRs with the QA team.\nEnsure project site has all required HSE documentation and approvals.\nCoordinate site support teams with the site construction team.\nProcurement of materials related to their direct work area per the design drawings.\nEnsure tunnel procedures and being followed by the supervisor and site team.\nEnsure permits to tunnel are up to date and present on site.\nEnsure the development, in collaboration with the Supervisors, of a detailed programme for day to day activities, look ahead programme and daily program changes, including resources required and material deliveries;\nDevelop better ways to deliver the Project works, including improved construction methodologies, alternative designs and alternative materials selection;\nEnsure data for shift reports is reviewed and opportunities identified, for improvement to methods and reoccurring issues/delays.\nMonitor progress of the planned works and regularly review the delay allowance status;\nCoordinate resources to ensure the Project works progress in conjunction with other Section works;\nEnsure the tracking of off-site procurement items against programme;\nActively participate in the application of resources to generate a target program based on the method, with a target completion that precedes the contracted completion by a suitable delay allowance;\nCommunicate the program to all relevant internal parties;\nOversee the tracking of off-site procurement items against program\nDevelop “One Team” culture so that the site teams cooperate well with each other and integrate effectively with the wider project teams;\nCoordinate and ensure that Graduate and Site Engineers are clear what is expected of them and provide regular feedback to ensure effective performance;\nLead development of Graduate and Site Engineers to ensure development of their capability by identifying and addressing development needs of direct team members;\nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with clients and external parties, which are managed within the guidelines of the project code of ethics.\nThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.\n\nAs an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
