They are shaping the future as the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.\nSENIOR SUPPLIER TECHNICAL ENGINEER - SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA\nWEBCO HR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Supplier Technical Engineer for one of our clients located in San Diego, California.\nSUMMARY:\nAssesses supplier quality and qualifies production parts in compliance with manufacturing specifications and standards.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure quality of received components by reviewing supplier provided data against drawing requirements.\nGenerating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Guiding suppliers to reduce these defect rates.\nResearching the potential vendors, assessing their manufacturing environment, practices, and procedures; Conducting supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and quality certifications (ISO, NADCAP).\nSupporting suppliers in improving their performance through process enhancements, implementing process controls, and developing quality assurance plans.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nA Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.\n2-5 years of related experience.\nExperience in any of the following: CNC Programming, Machining, Investment Casting or Quality Engineering.\nExperience in production parts qualification.\nFamiliarity with specification from the following: SAE, ASTM, MIL.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nProblem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.\nProcess Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.\nQuality Orientation: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques; ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.\nProduct Quality Assurance: Knowledge of product quality assurance; ability to use tools, techniques and methodologies assuring the quality of development for and manufacturing of products.\nManufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.\nSupplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components;
