The opportunity now is to join a rocketship as we prepare for the next stage of growth, and an eventual public listing.\nThis role is onsite 5 days a week in Hodgkins, IL\nShift: 3pm CST\nAbout the Role \nWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to own 2nd shift Outbound Warehouse Operations (Dry and Fresh/Frozen) at our Hodgkin's fulfillment center. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this role directly manages a team driving daily throughput against targets while building a stronger frontline leadership bench. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency, raise the floor of frontline leadership, and ensure a safe environment.\nResponsibilities \nOwn 2nd shift Outbound execution end-to-end, with primary focus on Dry and Fresh/Frozen operations, driving throughput against daily targets\nMaintain outbound distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures\nEvaluate performance metrics to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient work-flow processes\nManaging frontline teams in a high-volume, fast-paced fulfillment environment and comfortable coaching the team\nComply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding and studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions\nSafeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols\nMaintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement\nAchieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions\nComplete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results\nContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\n5+ years of experience in warehouse/fulfillment operations\n2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role\nWarehouse Management System (WMS) experience, including KPI/productivity tracking \nProficient computer skills, including Excel and reporting tools\nAble to work 2nd shift consistently\nPreferred Qualifications\nBilingual in English and Spanish preferred \nSix Sigma / Lean process improvement exposure preferred\nExperience helping scale a growing distribution center preferred\nOSHA certification or project management certification a plus\nBenefits\nComprehensive health insurance package, including medical, dental, and vision.
