The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with journal entries and accruals, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar financial platforms.\nThis role is suited for a finance professional who values accuracy, maintains strong financial controls, and can manage multiple accounting activities while meeting reporting deadlines.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.\nPrepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.\nPerform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate their resolution.\nPrepare and review accruals, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.\nMaintain and monitor general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.\nAssist with financial reporting, account analysis, and controllership activities.\nAnalyse account balances and provide explanations for variances identified during financial close cycles.\nEnsure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and maintained within ERP systems.\nFollow established internal controls, accounting standards, and financial procedures.\nCollaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting queries and discrepancies.\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.\nMaintain organised and accurate accounting records for reporting and audit purposes.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and improve process efficiency.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting function.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, general ledger operations, financial reporting, or controllership support.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, such as B.Com, M.Com, or MBA Finance.\nStrong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and financial accounting processes.\nHands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and financial adjustments.\nExperience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.\nFamiliarity with financial reporting, account analysis, variance explanations, and controllership processes.\nWorking knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other financial ERP platforms.\nGood understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial documentation requirements.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organisational
