The ideal candidate will support actuarial analysis, pricing, reserving, product development, and portfolio performance evaluation to help drive informed business decisions.\nThis role is suited for a professional with a strong quantitative foundation and an understanding of insurance principles who can translate complex data into meaningful insights. You will work with actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, and product teams to evaluate risk, improve pricing accuracy, monitor profitability, and support the development of sustainable health insurance products.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyse health insurance policy, premium, claims, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.\nSupport the development and review of actuarial pricing models for health insurance products.\nAssist in estimating claims frequency, severity, expected claims costs, and loss ratios.\nConduct experience studies to evaluate actual performance against actuarial assumptions.\nSupport reserving activities, including the analysis of incurred claims, outstanding claims, and claims development patterns.\nEvaluate portfolio profitability and identify factors affecting underwriting performance and claims costs.\nDevelop statistical models and analytical tools to support pricing, forecasting, risk assessment, and business planning.\nAssist in monitoring key actuarial metrics, including claim ratios, premium adequacy, and portfolio performance.\nPrepare actuarial reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical summaries for internal stakeholders.\nCollaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, product, and data teams to support business decisions.\nSupport health insurance product development by analysing pricing assumptions, benefits, customer segments, and risk profiles.\nValidate data quality, maintain accurate analytical documentation, and ensure consistency in modelling assumptions.\nAssist with regulatory reporting and compliance-related actuarial requirements, as applicable.\nIdentify opportunities to improve actuarial models, analytical processes, and reporting efficiency.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n1+ years of relevant experience in actuarial analysis, insurance analytics, risk modelling, or a related quantitative role.\nStrong interest in health insurance, including claims analysis, pricing, underwriting, and product profitability.\nA degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.\nProgress toward professional actuarial qualifications from bodies such as the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is an advantage.\nStrong analytical, mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience analysing structured datasets.\nFamiliarity with SQL, Python, R, or statistical modelling tools is an advantage.\nUnderstanding of insurance concepts such as premiums, claims reserves, loss ratios, risk pooling, and underwriting.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data accurately.\nGood communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly.\nAbility to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and work independently when required.\nA proactive learning mindset and interest in developing expertise in health insurance actuarial
