The role combines strong hands-on engineering expertise with technical ownership, cross-functional collaboration, mentoring, and a focus on building robust and observable systems.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java backend development and modern frontend technologies, along with a solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, databases, APIs, and cloud-based applications.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable Java-based microservices and user interfaces.\nBuild robust backend services using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.\nDevelop responsive and maintainable frontend applications using ReactJS or other modern JavaScript frameworks.\nCollaborate with product, UX, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.\nTranslate business and user requirements into actionable technical tasks and own deliverables from development through deployment.\nDesign loosely coupled, scalable, and maintainable microservices architectures.\nWork with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.\nDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed systems.\nImplement technical and operational metrics to monitor system health, performance, and reliability.\nImprove system observability through effective monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and production support activities when required.\nConduct code reviews and promote high standards of code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.\nMentor junior and peer engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge sharing.\nEvaluate and appropriately use AI-powered development and automation tools while following organisational policies.\nContribute to Agile development practices and continuous improvement of engineering processes.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n9-12 years of hands-on software engineering experience.\nStrong proficiency in Java and related frameworks.\nHands-on experience with Spring Boot, ORM frameworks, and enterprise Java applications.\nStrong experience with ReactJS or modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or Angular.\nStrong knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema and query design.\nExperience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.\nStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.\nExperience designing scalable and loosely coupled software systems.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or real-time bidding platforms.\nStrong experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS.\nFamiliarity with modern DevOps and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.\nExperience with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, SNS, or SQS.\nExperience working with highly scalable, mission-critical systems.\nExperience with system monitoring, observability, and production operations.\nBachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is a technically strong full-stack engineer who can take ownership of complex engineering problems while supporting team members through mentoring and collaboration.
