We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Software Engineer with a solid foundation in computer science and hands-on software development experience. The role is suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building products from the ground up, and taking ownership of technical outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Java or Python, practical knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, and experience working with modern development workflows. You should also be comfortable using AI coding assistants and agents as part of everyday development while maintaining strong engineering judgement through careful review, testing, and validation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain reliable software applications and services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code using Java or Python.
- Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including version control, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Understand existing system architecture, components, design decisions, dependencies, and technical trade-offs.
- Translate product and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Use AI coding assistants and development agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of daily engineering workflows.
- Break complex engineering tasks into well-defined steps and provide effective prompts and context to AI development tools.
- Thoroughly review, test, debug, and validate AI-generated code before integrating it into production systems.
- Develop backend services, APIs, data models, and application components.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and low-level design decisions involving classes, APIs, databases, and system components.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions.
- Build features with consideration for real-world user workflows and product outcomes.
- Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, code quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take ownership of assigned problems from understanding and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Explore new technologies, development practices, and AI-assisted engineering approaches that can improve productivity and product quality.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 1+ years of software development experience, preferably in a product company, startup, or technology services environment.
- Practical experience working with professional development workflows including Git/version control, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
- Strong computer science fundamentals covering data structures and algorithms, OOP, databases, operating systems, and networking.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
- Ability to write effective prompts, break problems into agent-friendly tasks, and critically review and test AI-generated implementations.
- Strong understanding of the systems and projects you have worked on, including architecture, components, technologies, and design rationale.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly explain technical reasoning and implementation decisions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong builder's mindset, curiosity, ownership, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
- Product-oriented approach with an interest in understanding users, workflows, and real-world business outcomes.
- Demonstrated depth in previous roles or projects, with a willingness to stay long enough to develop meaningful technical expertise.
- Experience with Spring Boot or FastAPI is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or other caching and messaging technologies is desirable.
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, AWS, or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Experience with LLM APIs, simple AI agents, open-source projects, internships, or side projects used by real users is valuable.
- Competitive programming experience is an advantage.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as React is a plus.
- A B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
