This role requires a technology leader who can guide engineering teams, make architectural decisions, and deliver intuitive digital experiences across devices and platforms.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and mentor UI/UX and full-stack engineering teams, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.\nDefine and implement scalable software architecture for high-performance web applications and advanced visualisation products.\nDesign, develop, and maintain responsive, reusable, and accessible user interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nTranslate wireframes, design specifications, and user requirements into functional, interactive, and production-ready applications.\nEstablish frontend coding standards, reusable component libraries, and best practices for maintainable application development.\nCollaborate with Product, UX/UI Design, Backend, and QA teams to deliver seamless end-to-end digital experiences.\nContribute to full-stack development, including backend services, API development and integration, and database connectivity.\nBuild interactive visualisations and data-rich interfaces using technologies such as D3.js and other suitable visualisation libraries.\nIntegrate mapping APIs and geospatial technologies, including Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, where required.\nOptimise application speed, responsiveness, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility across high-performance desktops and lower-end mobile devices.\nAssess existing systems to identify architectural limitations, technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for modernisation.\nDrive technical design reviews, code reviews, testing practices, and implementation quality across engineering projects.\nApply Agile software development practices to manage delivery, resolve technical challenges, and ensure timely execution.\nCoach team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and support professional development.\nEvaluate emerging frameworks, libraries, and technologies to improve engineering productivity and user experience.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n10+ years of experience in frontend engineering, full-stack development, UI engineering, or software architecture, including significant technical or team leadership experience.\nStrong hands-on expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nProven experience building responsive, high-performance, cross-browser web applications.\nStrong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, component architecture, accessibility, and usability.\nExperience with frontend frameworks, MVC architectures, and libraries such as Angular or React.\nHands-on experience with backend development, RESTful APIs, integrations, and databases.\nExperience with interactive data visualisation tools such as D3.js and mapping platforms such as Google Maps or OpenStreetMap is an advantage.\nStrong knowledge of software architecture, performance optimisation, scalability, and maintainable coding practices.\nProven ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and collaborate across multiple teams.\nExperience working in Agile environments and managing the software development lifecycle.\nExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and drive continuous improvement.\nA bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is
