The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DGFT licensing, SCOMET and export-control requirements, restricted goods compliance, defence procurement processes, and RFP/RFQ management.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities across Defence & Aerospace markets.\nSupport business development activities for domestic and international customers, government agencies, PSUs, OEMs, and strategic partners.\nManage and coordinate RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, tenders, and bid-management activities.\nReview tender and procurement documents and coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial submissions.\nBuild and maintain professional relationships with customers, defence organisations, government stakeholders, and industry partners.\nCoordinate DGFT and relevant import-export licences, authorisations, and approvals for defence and aerospace products.\nManage EXIM compliance requirements for restricted, controlled, and dual-use goods.\nCoordinate with DGFT, Customs, Ministry of Defence, and other regulatory authorities for required approvals and clearances.\nEnsure compliance with applicable Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), SCOMET, export-control, and customs requirements.\nMonitor licence validity, utilisation, renewals, and associated regulatory documentation.\nPrepare, review, and maintain import-export and regulatory documentation.\nTrack licensing, approval, and compliance timelines to ensure timely completion of regulatory requirements.\nSupport audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments related to EXIM operations.\nCoordinate with international OEMs, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders on trade and procurement requirements.\nSupport government procurement, defence acquisition, and related commercial processes.\nMaintain accurate records of licences, approvals, submissions, correspondence, and compliance activities.\nIdentify potential regulatory or commercial risks and escalate issues appropriately.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n5+ years of experience in Business Development, EXIM, international trade, defence procurement, or a closely related function.\nHands-on experience with DGFT licensing, SCOMET, export-import compliance, customs processes, and regulatory documentation.\nStrong understanding of RFP/RFQ management, tendering, bidding, and government procurement processes.\nExperience working with defence, aerospace, homeland security, manufacturing, government, or other regulated industries is preferred.\nPractical knowledge of import-export regulations, licensing procedures, and export-control requirements.\nExperience coordinating with DGFT, Customs, Ministry of Defence, or other government and regulatory authorities.\nExposure to international OEMs, suppliers, strategic partners, or cross-border business environments.\nUnderstanding of defence procurement, offset programmes, or related government contracting processes is an advantage.\nStrong business development and commercial awareness with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and coordination skills.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage complex regulatory documentation and timelines.\nAbility to work effectively across business development, legal, compliance, finance, technical, and operations teams.\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3892,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"India","iso":"IN","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T14:51:23Z"}],"liveness":{"score":29,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.328,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":5,"reasons":["conf:0","agency","stale_co","velocity","win:mid","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-27T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/weekday-business-development-exim","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/weekday-business-development-exim.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-28T02:49:20Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1606,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3394,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-29T00:00:00Z"}}}
