We are seeking an accomplished Head of Engineering to provide strategic technical leadership, drive engineering excellence, and oversee large-scale application development and product engineering initiatives. This is a senior leadership role for a hands-on technology leader with strong expertise in building scalable software products, modern cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled solutions.

The role will involve leading a large engineering organization, translating business and architectural objectives into execution, and ensuring high standards across technology, delivery, quality, and innovation. You will also work directly with enterprise clients and senior technology stakeholders to understand complex business challenges and shape effective technical solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep engineering expertise with strong organizational leadership, client-facing capability, and practical experience implementing AI/ML and Generative AI technologies in production environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and strategic direction for application development and product engineering initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a large-scale engineering organization across multiple products, platforms, and technology teams.
• Partner with architecture leadership to translate enterprise architecture strategies into scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
• Remain technically hands-on through architecture reviews, complex system design, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept development.
• Drive the adoption and production implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities across products and business solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, architecture guidelines, quality frameworks, and technical governance.
• Oversee the development of modern, cloud-native, scalable, and resilient applications.
• Work closely with product, engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business leadership to deliver strategic technology initiatives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and international clients, including CTOs and senior technology decision-makers.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and translate complex client requirements into actionable engineering strategies and roadmaps.
• Identify technical opportunities, solution enhancements, and areas for product and engineering growth.
• Own delivery governance across large-scale engineering programs, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.
• Drive Agile/Scrum practices, CI/CD adoption, engineering automation, and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify architectural risks, performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and delivery challenges.
• Establish effective risk mitigation and remediation strategies before issues impact customers or business outcomes.
• Build strong collaboration between distributed and global engineering teams.
• Support talent strategy, organizational scaling, succession planning, mentoring, and development of senior technical leaders.
• Represent engineering leadership in strategic client discussions, executive reviews, and technology planning sessions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 11+ years of experience in Core Technology, Application Development, Software Engineering, or Product Engineering, with significant experience in engineering leadership.
• Proven experience managing and scaling large engineering organizations across multiple products or technology portfolios.
• Strong hands-on background in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud-native application development, and modern engineering practices.
• Practical experience implementing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, or intelligent automation in production environments.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, scalability, security, and engineering quality.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with enterprise and international clients and manage senior-level technical relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive engagement skills.
• Experience managing complex technical programs, delivery expectations, escalations, and multi-team engineering initiatives.
• Strong commercial and consultative mindset with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes.
• Experience working with global delivery models and distributed teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required for client and business engagements.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology trends, cloud platforms, AI, and modern product engineering practices.
• Experience in EdTech, workforce technology, SaaS, or enterprise product development will be an advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
