Weekday is an Indian recruitment company that sources software engineers through referrals from other engineers rather than through job advertisements or agency databases. Its model pays working engineers to vouch for former colleagues they rate, turning informal knowledge about who is genuinely good into a searchable candidate pool that companies can hire from. Based in Bengaluru and backed by Y Combinator, the platform has layered AI screening and outbound sourcing on top of that referral network, and sells to startups and technology companies hiring in the Indian market.

  • Monitor key utility and engineering performance indicators and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present utility performance, risks, reliability issues, improvement plans, and investment requirements to senior leadership.
  • Support long-term infrastructure planning, budgeting, cost optimisation, and engineering capital expenditure decisions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Experience managing internal engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and outsourced O&M partners.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Manufacturing, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, EHS, Projects, and other plant functions.
  • Good understanding of industrial safety, maintenance standards, compliance requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret utility performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, capital projects, and infrastructure planning.
  • Strong leadership, people-management, mentoring, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
