This role combines hands-on manual testing with essential DevOps and operational responsibilities to ensure applications are reliable, functional, and ready for production.\nThe ideal candidate will have a good foundation in software testing, practical experience with REST APIs and SQL databases, basic Python scripting skills, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments. You should be comfortable collaborating with developers and operations teams to identify defects, validate fixes, and support smooth application releases.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nUnderstand functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution reports.\nPerform manual functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing of web applications and backend services.\nTest REST APIs using Postman or similar tools, validating request and response payloads, HTTP status codes, authentication, error handling, and business logic.\nExecute SQL queries to validate application data, perform database checks, and investigate data inconsistencies in MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.\nUse Python scripting to develop small utilities, prepare test data, process logs, support API testing, and automate repetitive tasks.\nAssist with application deployments on Linux servers and perform post-deployment smoke tests.\nExecute Unix/Linux commands for file operations, permissions, process checks, service validation, environment verification, and log analysis.\nIdentify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, severity, and expected versus actual results.\nCollaborate with developers to verify defect fixes and perform regression testing.\nSupport release activities by coordinating with development and operations teams.\nValidate application health after deployments and escalate issues that may affect functionality or stability.\nMaintain test evidence, QA documentation, deployment notes, release checklists, and defect records.\nFollow established testing procedures, deployment practices, and quality standards.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n1-2 years of experience in software QA, manual testing, application support, DevOps, or a related technical role.\nGood understanding of software testing fundamentals, test case design, defect reporting, and the software development lifecycle.\nHands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.\nWorking knowledge of Python and the ability to write basic scripts for testing and operational support.\nGood SQL skills and practical exposure to MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.\nBasic understanding of Unix/Linux environments, including commands, file permissions, processes, services, and log analysis.\nFamiliarity with application deployment procedures and post-deployment validation on Linux servers.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.\nGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate with QA, Development, and Operations teams.\nAbility to document test results, defects, and deployment activities accurately.\nA
