Full-Stack Application Development\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and responsive user interfaces using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and related technologies.\nBuild and support scalable microservices and front-end applications for complex, high-traffic platforms.\nDevelop RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with front-end applications and external systems.\nTranslate product requirements and user stories into actionable technical tasks and deliver solutions from development through deployment.\nWrite clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards.\n2. System Design and Technical Ownership\nContribute to the design and implementation of robust software architectures using microservices, distributed systems, and loosely coupled components.\nTake ownership of assigned features and services throughout their development lifecycle.\nApply sound engineering principles to improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.\nIdentify technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective solutions for large-scale applications.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices to support continuous improvement.\n3. Database and API Management\nDesign, develop, and optimise relational database schemas, queries, and data-access layers using databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.\nBuild reliable RESTful APIs and ensure efficient communication between distributed services.\nApply appropriate data modelling, query optimisation, and database performance-tuning techniques.\nEnsure data integrity, application reliability, and efficient handling of complex business requirements.\n4. Monitoring and Operational Excellence\nImprove system observability by implementing metrics, monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.\nDefine and track technical and operational metrics to evaluate system health, identify risks, and maintain service reliability.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and support production systems through incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution.\nFollow best practices for automated testing, code quality, deployment, and operational readiness.\n5. Collaboration and Technical Mentorship\nCollaborate with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality product features.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, design reviews, and documentation.\nMentor and support fellow engineers through knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and technical guidance, without direct people-management responsibilities.\nContribute to agile development practices and promote effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly in accordance with organisational policies.\nMust-Have Skills and Qualifications\nExperience: 4-8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in full-stack application development.\nJava: Strong proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, and core computer science concepts.\nSpring Boot: Experience developing backend applications and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring frameworks, and ORM technologies.\nReactJS: Hands-on experience with ReactJS or another modern JavaScript framework, with a willingness to learn new technologies.\nDatabase Management: Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimisation.\nMicroservices and Distributed Systems: Experience designing and developing microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed applications.\nComputer Science Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and problem-solving techniques.\nCollaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.\n Engineering Practices: Familiarity with code reviews, automated testing, agile workflows, and production support.\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience in advertising technology (Ad Tech) or digital advertising platforms.\nFamiliarity with programmatic advertising, real-time bidding (RTB), or advertising delivery systems.\nExperience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or Angular.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.\nExperience with DevOps and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with data-streaming and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Amazon SNS/SQS.\nEducational Qualifications\nA bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
