The candidate will be responsible for 3D modelling, 2D drafting, assembly design, and preparing detailed engineering drawings in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.\nThe ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, material selection, and CAD-based product design.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using Siemens NX CAD and SolidWorks.\nPrepare 2D engineering drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.\nDevelop detailed part models, assembly models, and manufacturing drawings.\nInterpret engineering drawings, technical sketches, and product specifications.\nPerform design modifications and update existing CAD models based on project requirements.\nApply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles wherever required.\nUnderstand and consider manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, and injection moulding during the design process.\nMaintain and update CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.\nCoordinate with senior design engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve design-related challenges.\nFollow engineering design standards, established procedures, and project timelines.\nSupport product development and New Product Development (NPD) activities.\nRequired Technical Skills\nUnderstanding of mechanics of materials and manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge of mechanical design principles and material selection.\nBasic understanding of jigs and fixtures.\nFamiliarity with plastic component design.\nKnowledge of heavy fabrication and structural design.\nUnderstanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nCAD Tools\nMust-Have: Siemens NX CAD, SolidWorks.\n Good-to-Have: CATIA, Creo, HyperMesh, and Teamcenter.\nSoftware
