The role involves developing core platform services, reusable APIs, execution frameworks, and agentic systems that enable product teams and AI agents to operate reliably in production.\nYou will take ambiguous technical problems from initial design through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. The work spans core backend platform engineering and the agentic layer, including frameworks for building and orchestrating AI agents and the agents built on top of them.\nHiring is open at both Senior and Staff levels, with the level determined by the scope of ownership, technical depth, and impact demonstrated.\nAbout the Platform\nThe platform enables enterprises to solve complex supply chain challenges using AI-driven decision intelligence. It combines ready-to-use AI capabilities for network optimization, inventory allocation, route scheduling, fulfillment planning, order promising, demand forecasting, prediction, and scenario analysis with a flexible development platform.\nBusiness and technical users can build and refine solutions using no-code tools, custom code, or extensible platform components. The engineering team focuses on providing the scalable, composable infrastructure that makes these capabilities reliable and accessible to enterprise customers.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn platform capabilities end to end, from problem definition and architectural design to development, release, and continuous iteration.\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and reusable execution patterns that other engineering teams can build upon.\nDevelop robust data models and handle concurrency, failure recovery, performance optimization, and observability.\nBuild and improve the frameworks used to develop, execute, and orchestrate AI agents.\nDevelop production-ready agent loops, tool integrations, orchestration mechanisms, and user-facing experiences built on agentic systems.\nTranslate ambiguous business and technical requirements into practical, maintainable engineering solutions.\nDebug complex production issues, identify root causes, and improve system reliability based on real-world behaviour.\nMake sound technical decisions around system design, APIs, databases, and underlying execution mechanisms.\nCollaborate with product teams and other engineers to deliver reusable platform capabilities that support multiple downstream consumers.\nTake ownership of production systems, monitor their performance, and evolve their architecture as requirements and usage change.\nCommunicate design decisions, trade-offs, implementation details, and technical challenges clearly across teams.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nStrong fundamentals in backend engineering, including problem decomposition, data structures, low-level design, and debugging.\nHands-on experience building and owning production-grade backend systems.\nAbility to explain system behaviour beyond the framework layer, including API design, database interactions, concurrency, and failure handling.\nExperience taking technical projects from initial design through production deployment and subsequent improvements.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements without relying on predefined solutions.\nA practical, hands-on approach to engineering, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.\nClear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and production incidents.\nExperience working in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment where engineers are expected to take initiative and deliver end-to-end solutions.\nMust-Have Skills\nBackend Engineering\nPlatform Engineering\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience building developer platforms, workflow orchestration systems, or services consumed by multiple downstream teams.\nFamiliarity with AI agent evaluation, tracing, tool integration, and cost-control mechanisms.\nStrong proficiency in Python.\nExperience designing reusable
