The role primarily focuses on SAP APO with Demand Planning (DP) in a production support environment. You will work on day-to-day support activities, incident resolution, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of planning processes. The position requires a good understanding of enterprise structures, master data, planning books, and demand planning processes.

You will collaborate with business users, technical teams, and customers to understand issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for SAP APO Demand Planning (DP) and resolve day-to-day production issues.
• Troubleshoot issues related to enterprise structure, master data, planning areas, and demand planning processes.
• Maintain and support Planning Books, including layouts, key figures, macros, and related planning functionalities.
• Analyze master data issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Perform regular system and process monitoring and identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within defined SLAs.
• Investigate recurring issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend permanent solutions.
• Support demand planning activities and ensure the smooth functioning of planning processes.
• Work closely with business users and customers to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP APO solutions.
• Participate in testing, issue validation, and deployment of fixes or enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain functional documentation, process guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and technical teams when issues require integration or development support.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding issue status, resolutions, and expected timelines.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP APO.
• Good expertise in SAP APO Demand Planning (DP).
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Structure within APO.
• Experience troubleshooting APO Master Data issues.
• Hands-on experience with Planning Book maintenance and support.
• Experience working in a production/support environment.
• Exposure to system and process monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently investigate issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical/functional issues to business users.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP APO integration with SAP ECC/SAP S/4HANA.
• Understanding of APO data flows and integration processes.
• Experience with incident and service management processes.
• Exposure to enhancements, testing, and change management activities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented support environment.

Experience

4-6 years of relevant SAP APO experience, with strong hands-on exposure to Demand Planning (DP) and production support.
