The role combines strong expertise in Ab Initio Development & Administration, Co>Operating System, ETL Development & Data Integration, and Ab Initio Installation, Upgrades, Patching & Configuration.\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for developing reliable ETL solutions while ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and security of the Ab Initio platform. You will work closely with Data Engineering, Application, Infrastructure, Database, and Business teams to deliver scalable data integration solutions and maintain robust production environments.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Ab Initio ETL and data integration solutions.\nDevelop complex graphs, plans, workflows, components, and reusable ETL processes using Ab Initio.\nAdminister and support the Ab Initio Co>Operating System across development, testing, and production environments.\nPerform Ab Initio installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.\nManage platform configurations, environment setup, access controls, system parameters, and operational settings.\nMonitor platform health, job execution, system resources, and production workflows.\nTroubleshoot Ab Initio application, ETL, infrastructure, and data-related issues.\nAnalyse job failures, logs, performance metrics, and dependencies to identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes.\nBuild and maintain ETL workflows for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data across multiple systems.\nDevelop data integration solutions involving relational databases, files, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.\nOptimise Ab Initio graphs, workflows, components, and data processing jobs for performance and scalability.\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks across ETL processes and platform infrastructure.\nSupport production deployments, release activities, incident management, and scheduled data-processing operations.\nCoordinate with Infrastructure, Database, DevOps, Application, and Data Engineering teams for platform and integration requirements.\nImplement monitoring, alerting, scheduling, and operational controls for critical data workflows.\nSupport backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery requirements for the platform where applicable.\nParticipate in platform upgrades, migration initiatives, environment refreshes, and technology-modernisation projects.\nMaintain technical documentation covering platform architecture, configurations, ETL workflows, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting processes.\nFollow enterprise security, change-management, development, and operational standards.\nIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvement across Ab Initio administration and ETL operations.\nMentor junior developers and administrators and contribute to technical standards and best practices.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n7+ years of experience in Ab Initio development, administration, ETL, data integration, or a closely related role.\nStrong hands-on expertise in Ab Initio Development & Administration.\nStrong experience with Ab Initio Co>Operating System and enterprise data integration environments.\nProven experience in ETL development and data integration across complex enterprise systems.\nHands-on experience with Ab Initio installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, and environment management.\nStrong understanding of Ab Initio architecture, components, graphs, plans, workflows, metadata, and deployment processes.\nExperience developing complex and reusable ETL workflows and data-processing solutions.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production-support capabilities.\nExperience with performance tuning and optimisation of Ab Initio applications and ETL workflows.\nGood understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modelling, and enterprise data processing concepts.\nExperience working with multiple environments and supporting critical production data pipelines.\nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, scheduling, monitoring, and operational tools.\nStrong understanding of release management, change management, incident management, and deployment practices.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.\nStrong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve complex technical issues
