processes, customs compliance, import regulations, and Customs Regulations, along with the ability to coordinate effectively with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nManage end-to-end import operations, from shipment initiation through customs clearance and final delivery.\nPrepare, review, and maintain import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, certificates of origin, and other required documents.\nCoordinate with Customs Brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics partners for timely shipment clearance.\nEnsure compliance with applicable customs regulations, import regulations, trade policies, and statutory requirements.\nMonitor import shipments and provide regular updates on shipment status, clearance, delivery schedules, and potential delays.\nReview import documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission for customs clearance.\nCoordinate customs clearance activities and resolve documentation, classification, valuation, or regulatory issues.\nSupport accurate determination of HS codes, customs duties, taxes, and applicable import charges.\nMonitor customs assessments and coordinate with relevant parties to address discrepancies or queries.\nEnsure timely payment and documentation of customs duties, taxes, freight, and other import-related charges.\nMaintain accurate records of import shipments, customs documents, duty payments, and clearance activities.\nCoordinate with Finance and Accounts teams for import costing, duty reconciliation, and shipment-related payments.\nLiaise with suppliers and overseas vendors regarding shipping documentation, dispatch schedules, and compliance requirements.\nWork with internal teams to align import schedules with inventory and business requirements.\nIdentify potential compliance risks, shipment delays, documentation gaps, and additional costs and take corrective action.\nStay updated on changes in Customs Regulations, import procedures, trade policies, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport internal and external audits by maintaining complete and organised import documentation.\nPrepare import reports, shipment trackers, clearance summaries, and other operational reports.\nIdentify opportunities to improve import processes, reduce clearance timelines, and optimise logistics costs.\nEnsure proper filing, retention, and accessibility of import and customs documentation.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\n3+ years of experience in Import-Export, import operations, logistics, international trade, or a related function.\nStrong hands-on experience managing end-to-end import processes.\nGood knowledge of customs compliance, import regulations, and Customs Regulations.\nStrong understanding of customs clearance procedures, documentation, duties, taxes, and import classifications.\nExperience coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and clearing agents.\nFamiliarity with import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, certificates of origin, and customs-related documents.\nWorking knowledge of HS codes, customs duty calculations, valuation, and classification.\nStrong understanding of international shipping and import logistics processes.\nGood coordination skills with suppliers, vendors, logistics partners, Finance, Procurement, and internal stakeholders.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and regulatory compliance.\nAbility to identify and resolve shipment, customs, documentation, and operational issues effectively.\nStrong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in MS Excel and other digital documentation or ERP systems.\nAbility to work effectively in a deadline-driven and compliance-sensitive environment.\nStrong communication and negotiation skills with external agencies and internal
