This position designs and lays out internal and external materials, including promotional campaigns and public information pieces, for both print and digital channels. The Creative Specialist creates eye-catching assets that balance strong visual design with clear, accessible information, always keeping the rider’s experience in mind.\nThe ideal candidate brings graphic design experience, a keen eye for composition, and the ability to translate complex information into visually engaging content for a variety of audiences across print, social media, and the web. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, and/or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesigns and lays out brochures, flyers, newsletters, signs, advertisements, and other graphic materials for print and electronic distribution, keeping informational and promotional assets up to date \nWorks alongside Communications, Marketing, Customer Care, and Operations teams to translate service initiatives into informative and compelling visuals \nProduces graphics and manages content on WeGo’s internal communication platforms, such as SharePoint and the internal newsletter \nAssists with overseeing the creative direction of the WeGo brand and upholding brand standards \nDesigns graphics and assists with updating and ongoing management of the WeGo Public Transit website, including layout and coding \nSupports Marketing with graphics for social media posts across multiple platforms \nManage projects from concept to completion \nObtains estimates from printers and other specialty advertising vendors \nCompletes internal paperwork for purchase orders, invoice processing, and related requests \nCreates and updates presentations \nAssists with asset management, including maintaining an inventory of all printed materials \nAssists with distribution of signage and marketing materials \nPerforms other duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least three years of professional layout or design experience\nBachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education\nStrong graphic design skills and knowledge of current design trends \nAdvanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)\nFamiliarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)\nWebsite management and coding skills preferred (HTML)\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills \nAbility to meet tight deadlines, balance multiple projects, and manage time effectively \nAbility to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions \nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nPossess a valid Driver’s License \nAbility to solve problems \nCollaborate with team members across organization and be comfortable with autonomy in managing daily workload \nPossess good customer service skills \nAbility to schedule work and work overtime as needed \nResponding to emergency situations \nMaintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees \nStrong team player\nThe principal duties are intended to describe those functions that are essential to the performance of this job and must be performed unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
