Our greatest asset is our talented employees, who continuously advance our market-leading radar solutions for applications such as air surveillance and precision tracking.\nWe are strengthening our Antenna R&D Group and are looking for an Antenna System Architect to join us as we enter a new phase of growth.\nAbout the position\nAs our new colleague, you will lead the definition and evolution of our radar antenna system architectures, setting technical direction from early concept development through verification and deployment. You will work closely with our systems engineering teams and hardware designers across RF, analog, digital, and mechanical disciplines to ensure architectural coherence and the desired system-level performance.\nYour primary responsibilities include:\nDeveloping and owning radar antenna system architectures, including system decomposition, architectural trade-off analyses, and evaluation of transmitter and receiver front-end concepts.\nDriving technical alignment across engineering teams, manufacturing representatives, and project management while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.\nRequirements engineering, including derivation and allocation of system requirements and computation of link and power budgets. \nDefining technology roadmaps and platform strategies to enable scalable and reusable solutions while safeguarding architectural integrity across future radar platforms.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to influence the architectural foundation of Weibel's radar portfolio and drive the evolution of next-generation antenna systems.\nAbout you\nYou have experience working in an agile environment, where you work both independently and in close collaboration with your team and cross-functional stakeholders. You value continuous learning and are comfortable operating in a dynamic R&D setting with multiple parallel activities, some requiring immediate attention and others progressing through structured project plans.\nYour qualifications should include:\nAn M.Sc. or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field. \nProven ability to define system architectures, perform technical trade-offs, and guide engineering decisions across multiple disciplines. \nExperience with RF, microwave, or mixed-signal systems development and a solid understanding of the complete product development lifecycle. \nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., radio and EMC) and military standards applied in mission-critical industries. \nStrong communication skills in English, both written and spoken. \nExperience with systems engineering methodologies such as MBSE and SysML, and related tools such as Enterprise Architect, is considered an advantage.
