The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:\n\nQualifications and Skills\n\nB.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with a Structural major. Master’s degree encouraged;\nEligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT with EGBC;\nStructural design experience in concrete and steel; 2 years minimum\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills;\nA working knowledge of the BC Building Code;\nAbility to accurately read and interpret drawing plans.\n\nMust be:\n\nPositive, team-oriented and a creative thinker who likes a challenge;\nSomeone who communicates clearly and concisely;\nA multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment;\nOrganized, efficient and confident.\n\nDuties:\n\nAssist in detailed structural design under the guidance of the structural team leader.\nMaintain an active role from design development and into construction.\nMaintain ongoing communication and coordination with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.\nPossess a solid understanding of relevant codes and standards related to design responsibilities.\nEnsure timely and cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.\nFoster strong relationships with clients and actively support the promotion of our core values.\nContribute to expanding the team’s technical knowledge and resources.\nApproach problem-solving with creativity and innovation.\nCollaborate with a passionate, focused, and committed team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nConduct site reviews on various building projects
