You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\nProduct Design & Development: Lead the creation and review of CAD models using tools like NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA; oversee prototype builds ensuring manufacturability and design governance through DFMEA and DFM processes.\nTesting & Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and final products; analyze test data to identify issues and implement corrective actions ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.\nSupplier & Manufacturing Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers on material selection and tooling; partner with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production and support pilot runs resolving production issues.\nProject & Process Management: Plan, schedule, and track new product development activities to meet deadlines; ensure deliverables align with stage-gate or product development processes; success is measured by timely, cost-effective, and quality product launches.\nLeadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians; act as technical lead in cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and quality; facilitate communication to align goals and resolve conflicts.\nCompliance & Quality Assurance: Oversee compliance at every stage of product development ensuring products meet global quality, safety, and regulatory standards.\nSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\nTravel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing sites, or customers.\nWhat you’ll bring\nMust-haves:\n10+ years of relevant engineering experience with strong product development (NPD/NPI) expertise.\nProficient in 3D design tools such as NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor.\nSolid design engineering knowledge and experience in mechanical or systems engineering.\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.\nNice-to-haves:\nExperience with hydrocyclone technology or slurry classification and separation products.\nFamiliarity with NX software and simulation knowledge, including understanding expected results and boundary conditions.\nPE Certification.\nPrior experience in mining, heavy engineering, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or consumer goods industries.\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
