You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\nMaterial Processing & Equipment Operation: Operate calendar mills and associated equipment to process rubber compounds according to work instructions and production schedules. Daily tasks include manually loading rubber into the mills, monitoring machine operation, and ensuring smooth workflow. Success means maintaining consistent, high-quality output with minimal downtime.\nQuality & Output: Monitor material quality, consistency, and thickness to ensure products meet required specifications. Perform quality checks continuously as the product moves through the machine to maintain standards.\nProduction Support: Assist with mill setup and adjustments, prepare materials, and support continuous workflow aligned with production priorities. This role involves repetitive, hands-on work with the same machine and process.\nTeam Collaboration & Housekeeping: Maintain clean, organized work areas and collaborate effectively with a small, tight-knit team of 3-4 members, fostering good communication and teamwork.\nSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\nWhat you’ll bring\nMust-haves:\nComfortable working around heavy machinery with a strong focus on safety\nPhysically fit with the ability to repeatedly lift weights up to 50 lbs\nClean-shaven appearance as per safety and operational requirements\nAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and work instructions\nNice-to-haves:\nExperience operating forklifts and overhead cranes\nPrevious experience in rubber processing or manufacturing environments\nMechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
