You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\n⦿ Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers from operational floor staff to management, regularly visiting sites to understand their needs and challenges.\n⦿ Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for Hard Rock Mining equipment, including HPGR installations, by collecting and analyzing operating and wear data to drive performance improvements.\n⦿ Field Operations: Conduct site visits, including shutdowns, to assist with equipment inspections, rebuilds, and 3D scanning for wear measurement and retrofit engineering.\n⦿ Performance Analysis: Prepare detailed inspection reports and performance analyses, collaborating with service teams and management to recommend material trials and design modifications.\n⦿ Inventory & Workflow Assistance: Support management with stock inventory forecasting and service shop workflow optimization for HPGR and other equipment.\n⦿ Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with technology centers, product management, and aftermarket sales to align on strategic initiatives and equipment enhancements.\n⦿ Travel Requirements: Expect approximately 60% travel, primarily to mining sites within a few hours’ distance, with occasional international travel.\n⦿ Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\nWhat you’ll bring\nMust-haves:\n⦿ Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline, preferably with a focus on rotating equipment for mining or severe duty industries.\n⦿ Minimum 3 years of technical or engineering experience, ideally with field service exposure in mining or industrial environments.\n⦿ Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using inspection instruments and hand tools.\n⦿ Proficiency in French language is required to effectively serve the territory and engage with customers.\nNice-to-haves:\n⦿ Experience with slurry pump disassembly, evaluation, repair, and reassembly.\n⦿ Certified Engineering Technologist, EIT, or P.Eng designation.\n⦿ Bilingual French/English skills highly desirable.\n⦿ Familiarity with ERP, manufacturing, and engineering design software.\n⦿ Previous mining industry experience or heavy industrial background.\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
