This is a hands-on position involving specialized manufacturing equipment, tooling, and assembly processes.\nSuccessful candidates will receive extensive on-the-job training and mentorship. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and are interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist experienced Hose Builders in manufacturing industrial hoses.\nOperate machinery and tooling used in hose-building processes.\nHandle materials and components according to engineering requirements.\nUse hand and power tools safely and effectively.\nOperate forklifts and overhead cranes.\nFollow production drawings, blueprints, and specifications.\nSupport hose assembly, preparation, finishing, and production activities.\nMaintain quality standards and meet production requirements.\nAdhere to all safety policies and procedures.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nInterest in hands-on manufacturing work.\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn.\nGood teamwork and communication skills.\nMechanical aptitude.\nAbility to lift up to 35 lbs.\nAbility to work rotating shifts after training.\nPreferred\nManufacturing, construction, labour, carpentry, fabrication, automotive, or industrial experience.\nExperience with hand tools and power tools.\nBlueprint reading abilities.\nBasic math skills.\nTraining & Development\nExtensive one-on-one training with experienced Hose Builders.\nApprentice-style learning environment.\nEmployees typically begin contributing independently after progressive skill development.\nStructured skill advancement and wage progression opportunities.\nWhy join Weir? \nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
