You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\n⦿ Preventive Maintenance Coordination: Manage and execute scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring on manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, presses, plasma cutting tables, welding equipment, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and compressors to maximize uptime and reliability.\n⦿ Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures daily. Utilize root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions ensuring minimal production downtime.\n⦿ Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors for equipment and facility maintenance, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.\n⦿ CMMS Utilization & Improvement: Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage within the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Support efforts to optimize CMMS for better tracking of maintenance costs and asset performance.\n⦿ Equipment Reliability & Continuous Improvement: Participate in equipment improvement initiatives and reliability projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and maintenance processes. Support machinery upgrades including new equipment installations.\n⦿ Planning & Documentation: Assist in shutdown planning activities and maintain spare parts inventories to support smooth operations.\n⦿ Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected; primarily onsite presence required.\n⦿ Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\nWhat you’ll bring\nMust-haves:\n⦿ 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.\n⦿ Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain CNC machines, presses, plasma cutting tables, and welding equipment.\n⦿ Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.\n⦿ Commitment to safety practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazard recognition, and safe work procedures.\nNice-to-haves:\n⦿ Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.\n⦿ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and CMMS systems.\n⦿ Background in fabrication shops or machine shops supporting large plate processing, welding, and forming operations.\n⦿ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams.\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
