You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\nBusiness Development:Generate business for Original Equipment and integrated solutions related to process improvement within the mineral processing equipment sector in the Odisha region.\n\nCustomer Engagement:Conduct regular visits and presentations to customers in the Keonjhar/Barbil area, managing relationships at all levels to understand and meet their requirements effectively.\n\nSales & Marketing:Prepare techno-commercial proposals, handle discussions, and close orders to achieve agreed business objectives and company KPIs.\n\nCoordination & Reporting:Collaborate with regional, SIOP, engineering, and operations teams; provide weekly updates on new business opportunities, customer feedback, and strategies to address customer pain points.\n\nDaily Role:The successful candidate will spend their days engaging with customers, preparing proposals, coordinating internally, and traveling extensively (approximately 15-20 days per month) within the territory.\n\nSuccess Metrics:Success will be measured by meeting or exceeding sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the growth of Weir’s business in the region.\n\nTravel Requirements:Extensive field travel within Odisha territory, primarily around Keonjhar and Barbil.\n\nSafety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nMust-haves:\nDiploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering or related field.\n\n1-2 years of experience in mineral processing or related industry.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.\n\nWillingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.\n\nFamiliarity with the Keonjhar/Barbil region and local mining ecosystem.\n\nNice-to-haves:\nExposure to mineral processing plants or mining operations in the Odisha mining belt.\n\nPrior technical sales experience or customer-facing roles.\n\nDiploma holders with relevant skills and knowledge may also be considered.\n\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
