If you meet the goals of the role, we want to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide network infrastructure support for all Microsoft Windows production servers by updating, maintaining and patching.\n\nProvide support for all Microsoft Windows workstations (desktops and laptops) by updating, maintaining and patching.\n\nAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot data backups via a Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) / Veeam backup solution as well as ongoing disaster recovery support.\n\nProactively identify, investigate, and resolve outages, bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and other operational issues.\n\nSupport core network and system services, including Cisco technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and security platforms.\n\nMaintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, asset records, and technical procedures while ensuring compliance with security and operational best practices.\n\nCoordinate life-cycling of all hardware on the network (i.e. servers, workstations, networking devices, security devices, etc.).\n\nProvide support to end users.\n\nMust-haves:\nDEC, Certification, or University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.\n\nMinimum 5 years of IT infrastructure and network support experience, including experience supporting enterprise network environments.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, VMware, virtualization platforms.\n\nExperience with data backup and disaster recovery systems.\n\nExcellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.\n\nMandatory Requirement: Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of Secret\nNice-to-haves (desirable):\nWorking knowledge of Citrix environments and Citrix NetScaler ADC Gateway appliances.\n\nWorking knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security best practices, and vulnerability management.\n\nExperience supporting Cisco networking technologies, network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, QoS), firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and web/email security solutions.\n\nCan communicate equally well with senior leaders, engineers, technicians, and end users.\n\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values-we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high and delight our customers.
